Privacy Policy
JUIT Timetable PWA is engineered to respect student privacy. Zero personal account signups, zero tracking, and complete client-side data control.
Last updated: 01 Oct 20261. Information We Collect
Viewing your academic schedule requires zero personal information. JUIT Timetable PWA does NOT collect or require roll numbers, enrollment credentials, passwords, or email accounts.
When you access the application, we process only basic technical metadata necessary to render class schedules:
- Device & Viewport Dimensions: Screen width and browser user agent to render optimal timetable grid layouts.
- Selected Batch Code: The public batch identifier (e.g.
26BT12,25A11) selected to fetch schedule JSON data.
2. Local Preference Storage
To ensure instantaneous loading on repeat visits, the app saves your basic setup locally inside your browser's localStorage.
This data remains 100% on your device and is never transmitted to external servers:
- Selected Batch: Remembers your schedule preference so it loads automatically.
- Active Theme: Stores your Light, Dark, or AMOLED theme preference.
- Pinned Subjects: Keeps track of custom pinned elective or lab slots.
You can clear stored preferences at any time by clearing your browser site data for juit-latest-timetable.vercel.app.
3. Web Measurement & Analytics
We use privacy-focused analytics tools (Vercel Analytics & Google Analytics) solely to monitor system uptime, error rates, and server bandwidth demand.
- All IP addresses are anonymized prior to processing.
- No personal profiles or cross-site tracking cookies are created.
- Metrics are used exclusively to optimize app speed and CDN caching.
4. Cookies & Google AdSense
To maintain JUIT Timetable as a 100% free service for all students, a single non-intrusive bottom banner unit is powered by Google AdSense.
Google uses cookies (such as the DART cookie) to serve ads based on visits to this or other websites:
- Ad Serving Guidelines: Ads served follow strict quality standards: NO popups, NO audio/video auto-play, and NO redirects.
- Opt-Out Options: You can manage or disable personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info.
