B.Tech CSE vs IT at JUIT: Which Branch Should You Choose?
While filling up your admission forms, the most common dilemma faced by students is: CSE or IT? The difference between the two branches at JUIT is as follows.
Curriculum:
Both CSE (Computer Science) and IT (Information Technology) have the same curriculum for the first two years (Semesters 1 to 4). You will be learning the same subjects until the 3rd year. However, CSE requires more focus on the core concepts while IT is more application-based. Both the branches have an equal chance of placement at JUIT as the top recruiting companies visit the campus to hire students for software engineering roles. It is recommended to opt for CSE if you are interested in more advanced theoretical concepts like Compiler Design and Theory of Computation. For practical-based software roles, IT would be a better choice.
